Bekker Gauché Group's roots go back to the late sixties. Although the Group came into official existence only in the year 2003 it has been back in those days when the two patriarch families, under the great leaderskip of JAJ Bekker and JH Gauché , after which the group is named, started out carving a legacy in the African sun, on which generations to come could build and prosper.

Like most other South African businesses going back that long, we are strongly connected to the land we call home, South Africa. It is here, under African skies, that our group's great fathers started to build on a future utilising the Agricultural potential of this country. It is also the farmers of those days priciples of Trust, Passion, Pride and Commitment that still drives us to this day. We like to believe that if this is only what we inherited, it would still be enough, as we clearly understand that a business built without these will not stand the test of time.

Today the Bekker Gauché Group consists of four companies, majority owned by the Bekker Gauché Trust, who also is an institutional shareholder of the London Stock Exchange listed Namakwa Diamonds company. These companies are Pearl Pride Promotions, Bekker Gauché Trading, Bekker Gauché Furniture and Bekker Gauché Landgoed.

Pearl Pride Promotions is basically an inhouse service providing company which focusses on providing Administrative and Managerial services to the Bekker Group of Companies as a whole.

Bekker Gauché Trading focusses, as it's name suggests, on the world of trading. Here, we provide services such as sourcing products and also trading in commodoties such as milk, custard, fruit juices, salt, sugar, various types of grains, cooking oil, eggs, frozen chicken, timber, fresh produce, to name but a few.

Bekker Gauché Furniture has proven to be a trustworthy supplier of note to the African continent. With its foundation lying deeply in the manufacturing of furniture, the company has evolved into one of the largest importers of furniture to Africa. Today the company serves a big customer base of furniture traders accross Africa and is a respected client of various foreign manufacturers.

As mentioned above, we come from a great tradition of being farmers! It is here that Bekker Gauché Landgoed plays it's role. As a result of changing conditions in the early nineties, we foresaw a great potential in getting involved in the development of so-called previously disadvantaged African subsistance farmers into proper producers, making a noteble contribution to sustainable food production in Africa. Today we are focussing on transferring our agricultural knowledge to people in need there of. At the same time we are also involved in the breeding of exotic birds such as African Grey Parrots and alike!
